Ytste Skotet, Stordal

Due to the coronavirus and future restrictions, the foundation Museums of Sunnmøre has decided that Ytste Skotet is not open for audiences until July 1st.

A picture postcard mountain farm overlooking the Storfjord in Stordal. The last owners of Ytste-Skotet vacated the farm in 1954, but in recent years it has been fully renovated with all the buildings a large farm needs. The farm is still without electricity and running water, and is a living museum open to visitors in the summer.

We have open farm days on six Sundays in the summer with a watertaxi departing from Dyrkorn at 11 am . On those days it is possible to buy a traditional dinner and there is often a special program and a possibility to participate in the farm work. Contact us for the dates and details. We also recommend contacting us beforehand if you want to come for a visit outside those open Sundays. Booking is necessary especially if you wish to stay overnight.
